Yes Bonez man. Pick one of the smallies and I will take some pix and email them to you. They are too big generally to post here on HAMBtown.

If you don't mind me asking, how do you go about cleaning up the grip on the wheel? I have one in a bit worse shape than the one on top of this pic.

Sure. Clean it free of all dirt and grime (mild hand cleaner). You may then use a mild polishing compound used on auto paint. If it is really worn/sun baked the grip will always feel rough-but it will shine(unless it truly baked in desert like conditions) Finish out the polishing with a fine glaze or favorite polish. In a pinch mothers will work on the grip. The metal part is easy: #0000 steel wool and mothers mag polish, cleaner wax, ect will bring back any good chrome, and rid the rust stains. I shall do a thread on one approach to bringing back a luster to these wheels. Some other HAMB'rz have their own system. Maybe a thread on doing just that should be started. Multiple contributors to have list of options.

How about "sticky" ones? Mine was pretty gross with hand grime, I washed it down but it remained sticky to the touch.

Keep working the grip. Is any color coming off on the rag? Try a tiny spot with something aggressive (compound).

DUDE! Today I got into one of those, it took lacquer thinner (sparingly) and some patience but it was gone! No more gumming. Polished it out and it is WAY better than I had hoped for.[IMG] Here it is in the 'after' mode. It took a while w/ a 3" polisher, 3M Perfect It. followed with Malco Plumb Crazy Glaze.

Does it still have the sticker on the back? All the CRAGAR wheels I've seen have a big cut-out and a hole, they were marketed as "the slot and the dot". Here's the wheel display photo from an old CRAGAR catalog:

This is the CRAGAR in my Comet:

[IMG] Check out the bottom wheel. After polishing this is the result. It aged to this color from the AZ sun. The backside has a hint of the top wheels fine green/celery glow. In person it takes on a reptile, snake look. The chrome really took a hit. It will have to polished with an Eastwood kit. The middle wheel also aged to a unique aqua hue. It will be on its way to CA next week.

I'm looking for a lime green wheel, slotted or holes, I guess I can't be fussy. Mooneyes only has a green one, it really needs to be lime green. Let me know if you have one you'd part with.
    Something like this.

I have a purple one PLUS the billet adapter.
I bought it a few years ago but can't recall what I paid for it. Do you remember what they sold for?
