Features My dream hot rod build

Discussion in 'The Hokey Ass Message Board' started by Hispano, Aug 12, 2012.

  1. Another WOW.
This is a very cool build, and i love your hood louvers.
Looking forward to seeing how it looks finished.

A new trend in making four doors look cool, perhaps.

Are you going to be able to drive this in France? its getting harder here in the UK to build something from scratch and register it,I thought the laws in France were tougher.

I love the work you have done. Those hood side vents are brilliant. I can't help but be a little disappointed you didn't lower that lid for the sinister look these cars usually have. I'm still tuned in and watching with great interest though.

Wow, Hispano, you're a very talented dude! Great work, I love it.

Now, I have a question for you about early French cars. I know a guy here in New Zealand who owns a 1902 Mathieu. This is thought to be the only known surviving Mathieu in the world. He is restoring it to enter the London-Brighton Marathon, hopefully in 2014. But my question is this, when doing an internet search on Mathieu, it says the car is Belgian, yet the Mathieu currently being restored in NZ says Made In Paris stamped into the engine block and other parts. Do you know anything about these cars?

Well thanks for blowing my mind first thing in the morning before I've finished my coffee. Now I won't be able to concentrate at work all day since your build has inspired me to rethink some things as I continue to build my ride.
    Merci.

Wow... Is every European HAMB member a master metal worker or what? Every build I see from over the pond has great craftsmanship, not to mention a really interesting, unique look.

    Great job!!
