I always liked the snake scale effect as depicted on the quarter panels.

Sepnt a good hour scanning the pictures. Though a hard core old school drag guy, I attended a few low rider car shows in the 70's. I appreciated the talent, skill and immagination that went into the paint jobs. A lot of drag racers shared the same taste in that era as found here. Makes me yearn to find some photos of speedway/flat track bikes that were adorned in this form of artistry.

This car is a classic look. Custom paint, nice tin work from nose to tail, Hillborn 2-port, stubby headers. Squint the eyes, and its Lions 1965.

These Merc grilles on '60 Chevys almost make me sick but on this '59 Pontiac its really badass, love it.

I dont post much, mostly just watch, read & learn from others, thought I would share with everyone what you influenced me to do. Here are some before and after pic's. The surfboard was a rebuild from someones trash. The Steering Wheel is a Superior 500 that I purchased at my local Junk Yard, I got to looking at it one day and decided to prime and paint the badly faded grip, I had nothing to loose, it was just hanging in my garage as wall art. When finished I decided to install the wheel on my daily driver and after 3 months of sun and abuse it is holding up perfectly.

Hope it passes the test :D
