Thanks. The adapter I got from Black Mountain Hemi here in PA. It's basically the same thing hot heads sells except this place is local to me and I could actually hold the part in my hand and look at it before buying. I'm also using his custom cast timing chain cover. http://blackmountainhemi.com/

The adapter kit comes with a special flywheel but everything else is stock Gm stuff. You have to use a GM 10.5 inch clutch set up which I got on the shelf at auto zone. The tranny is a Muncie 4 speed

The shifter setup is made by t&f shifter in Oregon and is an engineering feat. Basically it puts the shifter forward and on top on the tranny like an early Ford top loader .

Wow, the last thing you'd think would be in Lititz would be a specialty hemi shop....every time you think you've seen it all. I'm always amazed at the hot rod resources we have in our neck of the woods....it really is a hub of activity when you think about it. By the way, keep up the good work...your car is really hitting home with all of us...can't wait to see it with the body on & to hear it when you're rowin' through the gears.

I stopped over to Jerrys' shop tonight and checked out the chassis. Lookin' super sweet as usual and I had the chance to check out that nifty shifter. Pretty cool in that it puts a sort of sliding rail system like you might see on a T-5 or something externally on a Muncie. Man, some serious thought went into that one!

The rest of the car is equaly cool and the headers and dumps are out of this world. This one is going to be amazing.

Mounted my slave cylinder this afternoon and took an inch and a half out of my headlight bar feet. Looks much better. Got it welded up solid and the ends painted

My wheel bearings for the rear finally came in. Going to get them pressed onto my axles later tonight, then rear brakes on and wheels and she'll be a roller.

In the meantime a little more progress today. I rewired my turn signal switch and cleaned it up a little bit. I ordered some black cloth covered style wire from the hot rod company which also came in today. I rewired my magneto with it, ran my new plug wires, and installed my wire covers for the last time after giving them a hand polish

Swapping some parts with a friend who works at a driveshaft place so I should have one in a week or so

    Getting there !

Painted the firewall today and a few other small things. The bodywork on the body shell is just about wrapped up too. Maybe paint on that in a week or two hopefully. Im now thinking of running just two carbs on the intake because I think it looks better..more 50's maybe I dunno.Well see. I like the nice visual line too from the top if the grill shell to the air cleaners ..then to the cowl. Back at it

Got the firewall back on today and my radiator support rods and master cylinder. I also threw together a carb linkage set up with some bits and pieces that I got from Koz. Should be able to start doing some plumbing by the end of the week

Rear brakes done. Put the rear wheels and tires on and set her down for the last time. Tomorrow I'm going to start runnIng brake lines.

The body is coming along nicely too. Should be ready for paint by the end of the month

Got most of the brake lines ran today and got my seat back from Sonny Matthew. He and his wife rebuilt/restuffed it. Came out great. Nice to see the old upholstery brought back to life.
