[IMG]Seeing that transporter fully loaded reminded me of this shot of the Shakespear collection. In 1964 it took 30 Bugatti's to equal $85,000. Thanks for the great photos and story, bet it is nice to have the all together again. Bob

  4. You've got a sharp eye Neal! When we went stopped for fuel in Liberal, KS Josh noticed it was trying to come off so I climbed up and took it off and put it in the trailer. It was probably the wind and rain from the previous nights thunderstorm that tried to peel it off. The only other issue we had was the passenger door on the Nomad kept coming open the previous night near Dodge City, KS so I held it shut with a tie down.

  5. That's funny because my contractor in going to build the shop in trade for my old blue Deuce roadster! We are going to going to meet next week to iron out the details. I have to check with the city to see how big it can be based on the size of my lot and my house. I was hoping to make it 28' X 40' and tall enough for my drive-on hoist.

Need Louvers?, heck, I'd like that intro! :) I'm in CV. I know Riggle is here, along with Gene Adams and Falconer. Word is that a guy that does NASCAR exhaust is in Paulden. Strange that so many gearheads have congregated here. Maybe not, it's a nice area if you can stand dry and 4 mild seasons.

Jerry, welcome to the neighborhood. I've got a bunch of stuff but NONE of it is as nice as your collection! Looks like you are NW of the Dells by the pictures. McDonald's in CV first Friday of the month. Plenty of others too.

  7. Scotty, what I am really looking for is a '57 Two Door 150 Wagon. I had a chance at one last week out in Pennsylvania but it was just days before the move and I just couldn't do it without looking at it first. Now I wish I would have rolled the dice and did it. It looked nice and was priced right. I'm kicking myself right now.:(

  8. Hi Brad, l need a few months to get the rest of my stuff up here and get it organized. I did bring all my signs this time so I need to get them up too. Maybe we'll have another Prescott Garage Tour because there is so much cool stuff (cooler than my junk!) to see up here it would be worth the trip from the valley.

Question for you, the tan 32 roadster with black fenders, how long have you had it and where did it come from? What kind of shape was it in when you got it? Is it a b-model? It REALLY looks like my old car is why I am asking all these questions, be kinda cool if it was it, I sold it about 11? years ago. It ran and drove great was stone stock but missing the seat when I sold the car, I bought the car out of georgia, it still had the georgia title when I sold it. Jim

  17. Guess thats what it would be like if i could drive faster than 45 mph. It took me over an hour just to get to wickenberg from glendale.

  18. I bought the car in May of 2001 near Peoria, IL (actually my wife made the decision to buy it for herself!) when we were returning from Atlanta, GA after walking away from buying a misrepresented Deuce roadster down there. I stopped at a V-8 Club swap meet there and found out about it from long time Deuce guys Gary McCormick and Everett Gray. It is an early "B" Model and had just been restored for the owner who was a big Model A collector. I have pictures of it from the previous owner of what it looked like before it was restored and it was a darker color, either blue or black. PM me the serial number if you still know it and I can check for sure.

Welcome to AZ, lots of nice folks here, I just got here myself from Colorado in December.

I am about an hour and 1/2 south of you in Cave Creek. Shoot me a PM if you are in area for a shop tour.

Now my '32 3W has some more neighbors!

  23. Great stuff. Reminds me of the trips I made moving my collection one at a time from the pacific coast to eastern ore. Trip was in the middle of winter & not a lot of fun over the mtns. I live in Ft Mohave in the winter so just might make a trip over to Prescott this winter. Welcome to Az. Hope all goes well with DMV. They just pulled the plates on my 85 3/4 as I registered it in Az but use Grundy for ins & they wanted a local agent. They can go pound sand I ain't changing & they are not gettin the plates back.

  24. Welcome to AZ. I assume you will be at Duece day in late October down here in the valley. I would drive up in my 32 5 window for a garage tour up there just say when.

Use one of the 3d party private dmv facilities. It will save lots of time and trouble when registering your vehicles over the state offices.

  27. I've never had a thought of how easy it would be to highjack a big rig... until today.

Enjoy AZ, I grew up there.
