  26. The one we sold went for $750. Much less than that and I'll just scrap the shit myself, it's easier to deal with them by far.

Proving my point, a rough '51 coupe turned up in a you-pick yard about a year ago; no motor, no trans, needed rockers, lower quarters, some of the floors, etc. and deck lid missing. Can't buy 'em whole there so I took enough to convert a sedan over to a coupe. Considering the cars I scrapped there about that same time I know the guy didn't get a lot for it, and it was rolling on four wheels, it should have been worth $1000-$1500 or so presuming you rounded up a deck lid somewhere (my guess is the guy who sold it picked some bits off it first) and dolled it up a little for the rust sissies.

I did do okay on that, a west coast guy who was hot for a set of the taillight extensions offered me more for them than that whole car brought when it went over the scale (more than I got for a car I brought in that did have a motor and trans, in fact), so I sold them. So I guess not everyone is a tightwad. I still have the rest, a deal sort of pending on it, top, doors, and about half of the quarters, plus the vent frames and front windshield inside trims.

  27. They all can be saved or used to save anouther one!!!

This one saved from a NASTY divorce, where things could have gotten ugly.
