Thanks bro. Looks like the Coker show is gonna be in the next issue or two of Street Rodder. Already saw pics of your ride on the website.

Doesn't even look like the same car. Not sure if that's good or bad?

I've never been too much on white whitewalls, but I like them on some cars. I am going to swap to 16" '40 Deluxe wheels when I get together the blackwall setup.

Should I use stock width on the rear wheels or put a narrow (1") band in the rears? I've seen them both ways, what do you guys think?

These are the '40 wheels in question, on my Sporty.

Ok, you busted me... Nothing wrong with the whitewalls, I just want a set of blackwalls to swap on to change it up.

Now... I thought about my question above, maybe it should read like this...

What width rear wheel looks best with a 7.50X16?

I had always admired your avatar but never done any digging to find out more about it. I just now stumbled on this thread and I really like it.

Stroked Nailhead, LaSalle trans, Columbia rear.. I don't think you could do any better than that.

I'd really like to take this car to Mel's beach race in Atlantic City in October. Here's Eli's rendition of what it might look like for that. Pretty cool huh?

It has rained the last few weeks (on friday evenings). Maybe when the weather gets a little better we will try again.

I kept the whitewalls mounted so they can be swapped right back on anytime. Just wanted another set for a different look. I think the blackwalls look a little more period correct, but whatever... I like it both ways.

Hey man, I enjoyed talking to ya at the rumble, and lusting over your car.

What a sweet little roadster, you should keep it forever.

Btw. I'm 6'2" and 250lb. Thank God I decided to not channel my A.
