That is probably one of the most beautiful cars I've ever seen, let alone THE most beautiful Riv. Glad you're keeping it...I'm afraid that I may be getting the '65 Riviera bug. Damn sweet ride!

I will probably be thrown out of here
But Caddy Eldorado 1953 beats the Riviera anyday ;-)
    Nice car though...

    1932 Ford 5W Coupe.

    And this one in particular...

If I had to pick one car that would be the last car I'd ever own... 1939 Ford coupe.

Deluxe or standard, don't care. Early SBC w/ a 3 speed manual and too many carbs.

I have the mill, now I just need the car...

    '63-'65 Rivs. Bill Mitchell's finest!
    I've owned 5 Rivs. A '66, a '70, and a couple of newer ones.
I am currently working on another '70.
The '65 has always been on my short list though. Someday!

That's a beauty! My arms ache just thinking of the block sanding time that had to go into that car!

  17. But Ryan....there are 66's out there which are feeling the hurt right at this minute.
There are guys out there who are ready to stick their heads in microwave ovens, jump off bridges and kick their cats because their 66's can't get in...

I'm more 'partial' to Coupe DeVilles having owned a cherry '64.

-I also had the 60's Lincoln bug back when you couldn't give them away.

...Will always love 65's, sadly this is the only pic I have of my 56,000 mile original. (circa 1983)
We called it 'The Love Boat' :D

I find it hard to 'find' a bad looking Lincoln

Conversely, this Cadillac concept screams Toronado with hints of Rivera

    http://carackcars.blogspot.ca/2011/01/cadillac-future-from-sixties.html

...... "scale model for the stillborn new-generation multi-cylinder Cadillac appeared in
August 1963. A prominently peaked hood and grille were highlights, along with a "cantilevered" roof sans
A-posts, a radically vee'd windshield, a vee'd rear deck to complement both the windshield curvature and the
pointy snout, and muscular, wide-stance proportions".

"The concept car's profile displayed hints of the 1966 Buick Riviera front, while the front view displayed sharp
fenderlines and bulging wheel arches like those adopted for Oldsmobile's new 1966 Toronado. A fastback roof
treatment with no beltline "break" at the rear wheels would also be seen on both those production models, though
    in quieter form".

    ....or a '58 Chevy Hardtop......

.....or a '56 Chevy Corvette Black with White Coves, red interior and Halibrand Knock offs.

Well I realize it's not a 65 but it's a sweet road car. Got out of a 29 pickup (avtar) into the riv and you dont want to drive an old ford again. It will ruin you.. It's time to get back into a Hot Rod though. I make the annual trek to the Roundup every year (850 miles in 1 day) and it's like sitting in your easy chair with a steering wheel.

Another one of my favorite Rivs...

  28. A '65 Riv is tidy and a close second. But a '62 Impala is tops.
