OK, So hear's the deal. I was having a hard time with the paint job that Gene did a couple of months ago. The base and sealer weren't sticking together causing the base to crack under the clear coat. I called up Gene to look and it and he said no problem let's re-paint it. He was a TOTAL GENTLEMAN!! He said prep the car I'll be back next month to re-shoot it. This time we put a lot of effort in the colors etc. The car came out great and my respect doubled for Gene. What a class act he said "I paint until I'm happy and we have to redo it" What a class act!! Here are the new pics...

He is a class act. I dont know or have never met him, but have a friend who has dealt with him and the results were the best.

  5. Definitely a living legend.....Your car will live the life of a rock star many years to come because of it.

Thanks! It wasn't bad looking it was a Winfield. The issue was the sealer and base coat for some reason were not sticking together causing the paint to crack under the clear.

Was it just the roof or the whole car? Edit... I see the pic above now, to compare.

It certainly didn't look like a quality issue... was it just the look you didn't like? I thought it looked really unique before and certainly had more of a vintage style.

Gene is one of the best at what he does... because he still learns. Age means nothing.

Looks Awesome! ! I like the new color. I don't think you can get any better than having a legend paint your car!! Very nice Guy! !

  27. It's nice to have a legend like that in your back yard, let alone come to you!

That car looks absolutely awesome except for the stance. Sorry man but I'm just not into the slammed look, seems too modern, like billet era. But then, that's me.

    Happy Motoring!

  28. a true master, that looks like glass wow ! as for age he is like wine gets finer as he mellows.

The white is off center on the second paint job... Not the line but the "fade" white...

IMO I like the first job... Just needed wet sanded and buffed, But hes painting in a garage not a $75k paint booth so what would you expect...
