Mine would be the '66... Last year for the Tri-Power..;) A 421 or 428 with a 2x4 setup would be nice also... :D

  2. I think y'all are Swayze Krazy. My '65 should be back from paint today or tomorrow. I'm pretty stoked.

A car I'd love to own would be a 62-64 Impala, 2 door, hard top or vert. Right now I'm stuck on roadsters and 30 A coupes. But an Impala with a hitch to tow a vintage boat would be perfectly fine with me.

For me, it's the 55 chevy hardtop...I spent 12 years messing around with cars I liked before I bought the one I loved....too bad it's torn apart in my garage, even though it ran and drove fine.

yeah I like 67 Riveria's too...I think those look custom from the factory.

  11. '65 Riv would be a good family car.
    Just sayin'

  12. I think if I had to pick one... it would be tough.

But a '57 Chevy pops into my head right away.

The fact that I have one, probably weighs in on my descision.

A close secong would be a big block '66 SS Chevelle... 427 four speed.

Black on black... Gold on black... or blue on blue...

  13. ok yall....we need to stage an intervention on Ryan.

Someone go kidnap him.....take him to someplace like Vern Tardell's and the rest of us will go crush all the 65 Rivieras left in the US. ;)

Can anyone truly be a 'car guy' but stuck on only one make or model? That is blind faith. Buy that Black Bitch Buick that Dirty Dan built already......

Most of all build what you want, do what you want, it's your car. My uncle has always said, "If you like it, I love it." Meaning doesn't matter if he likes it or not, because it isn't his car.

My dad had a 66 Rivi the whole time I was growing up. It was the only new car my dad has ever owned. I regret watching it go down the road........I always surf craigslist hoping it will pop up, but my guess is, it went to Mexico by now......
66 Rivi with a 425 Nailhead. Silver with sort of a turquoise blue interior. It had the canister speedo that rolled.
It was the vacation road car.

    Too cool.

While Rivieras are a beautiful car and one of my all time favorites. If I had to pick a 60's car it'd be this but black-

You can style it as a Cruiser, Lowrider, Hot Rod (my choice), Granny mobile, or any mild place in between.

As for the ultimate car I think a '33 Phaeton would just about do it for me. Something like this-

I like those Rivs, but i have always had a soft spot for late fifites finned mopars and '55 chevys. :D

  24. Ha! Me too! 1 of 20! Start playing the lotto!

  25. Of course the 1949 Cadillac Sedanette (fastback) is one of the most beautiful car designs of all time. I have one.
If money were no object (like Ryan) I would have to buy a Superbird. They epitomize the muscle car era, and are from the same litter as the 1970 GTX that I had in my degenerate youth.

Real authenticated ones are now over 300k. It's a good thing they are O/T. :D

A 59 Impala is on my short list of cars to own before I die... Followed closely by a 63-65 Riviera...

This one's headlights were hidden where the parking lights would be... not a hidden light 65 model...

    And a 61-64 Lincoln...

Man I want to tow a small Airstream or build a teardrop to go behind my '62 Olds (if I ever finish it). And when my little brother got the Olds before me (4 years ago) he quickly removed the "ugly" dealer tow hitch setup and tossed it. What is worse is I agreed!!

'61 and '62 Impala hardtops are beautiful!
