    Good luck!!!! That seems crazy to put it in on this short of notice but i think you'll do it without a hitch. Just don't over tighten those axle nuts ;)

    Toss it in the trunk and install it out on the salt if it looks like you're running out of time. I'm thinking there's a few dudes out there that would be able to help you out.

    Install a quick change and have it ready for a cross country trip in two days??????? Next you're gonna tell us you will turn a clapped out 4 door into a chopped coupe in less than a year.

    Can you believe this guy?:rolleyes::rolleyes::rolleyes::rolleyes:

    Nope...

    I'd swear he was a fictional Hot Rod Superhero if I hadn't met him a time of two. :rolleyes:

    Can't wait to see the Bonneville adventure thread!!!

    QC is in, appears to working properly... Upon teardown found the ring gear that came out of the banjo that was under the car was missing a tooth (!), yes, really... and it was NOT in the case anywhere... also came across a cracked brake drum, crumbling brake shoe, and while chasing a noisy throwout bearing found a broken pressure plate... Fixed everything, changed the oil, lubed anything that moves, It's been a long couple days around here. Let's hope it holds fast for at least 5k miles or so... Thanks for the well-wishes and prayers... I'm bushed, going to bed, leaving in the am...:eek:

    I wish my garage shenanigans were a quarter as exciting as yours. Perhaps when I'm a little older..

    Here's a few pics I took yesterday (8/4/12) of the coupe at the Rolling Bones lunch break en route to Bonneville. This trip is the perfect crowning glory for an unbelievable accomplishment.
    This car was the highlight of the morning stop. Good luck the rest of the way, Andy.

    Saw Andy last night in Perrysburg, said the coupe was doin good on the road. Looks cool as hell. We were all huddled under the car canopy at the econo lodge staying out of the rain.
