Your gonna have some fun with that car!! Just simply stunning. Thanks Skip for including us in the build. Lippy
Alright that's it, this IS the best custom to come out in a long time. I can think of 3 recent builds and this one might take the top for me at least. Mark Morton's '54. Jimmy Vaughn's '54 and your Victoria. All perfection in a physical form.
If you're like me, the installation of the side trim is the "tipping point" where the car is close enough to completion that you know it's met or surpassed your vision for the car. The remaining stuff like glass & grille are just icing. Really, really nice.
What an incredible shot! Is that dash how it came from the factory? It looks too good to be real. And where did you find that awesome steering wheel?????
Hey Mark, if you get bored, there's a Fleetline in my garage. You could just come over and wave your magic wand over it. Don't have to get dirty or anything
I think this tiki I just carved says it all. WOOOOOOOOWWWWW!!!!!( I know how much you like tiki stuff.) Man, Some of my friends tell me how cool you are and how I need to meet you but now I know for sure. Great job man.
Ditto! All do perfectly what a great custom should do: improve and refine the original design. I love the way the side trim echoes the roofline. The color is just perfect and with that dash and steering wheel the car is just as beautiful inside as out. At first I wasn't sure about losing the the 3-piece wrap-around window but now I can't see it any other way. It's THE definition of that ancient term "hardtop convertible" from when the Cad Coupe Deville and Roadmaster Riviera first came out. Reminds me of the stories about the origin of those cars coming from the wife of a GM exec who always drove convertibles but never put the top down; she just loved the roofline with the top up and the windows down. Congratulations on creating an outstanding work of art with this "rolling sculpture!"
I don't check in for 12 hours and there are THREE NEW PAGES!!! Looks INCREDIBLE Mark, and Kelly certainly looks thrilled! What's left? Front end, some wiring, and drive it?
Hey somebody colorize those front wheels! Dark green maybe... I'm thinking a dark blood red color. Ha, just messin with ya mark!
After being at the KKOA show in Salina I finally got to pop in and check out the updates. Man, the car looks gorgeous! That Royal trim looks so perfect and that interior and dash, FANTASTIC! I can totally see why your wife has such a big smile! What an awesome car.
