Looks like we have a worthwhile update.... I finally got the bodywork where I am happy with it and FINALLY chose a color... Saddle Brown Firemist. The color really is amazing looking in the light. We shot the jambs today and it looks great. Im going with a semi-gloss finish using base coat, flat clear and regular clear. The color looks like an old color and goes well with my car and the light brown metallic really makes the lines of the car and the highlights pop! The toned down shine with the flattening agent lessens the bling, while giving the brown lots of different tones to it- know what I mean?? It also jives well with the glossy root beer dash and firewall. Heres a quick pic, I think Im going to be really happy with the result. Woot!!
Got her painted finally. Long night in the booth and she came out better than expected. We absolutely nailed the shiny/flat I was after. Installing the trim as we speak...... The color really changes depending on the light. In the shade, its like a deep Dr Pepper brown, in the light, its almost shiny copper. Pretty satisfied.
WOW...looks great! what are your wheel plans...hub caps, or paint? Can't wait to see it with the trim!
Looks very good. You sure won't have to worry about showing up and having another car next to you in the same color.
Haha, yours is done I thought... Pics in magazines an shit. Thanks! Thanks alot Daddy-O!!! I do, Ill post em up when I get the trim on. Nah you dont. Was going with Black wheels and spider caps, but with this paint I am going to have to go with some caps. Havent decided yet. Suggestions? Thank you my friend, thank you! Thank you!! I know, right?? But I'm with you that paint is beggin for either body color, or cream with spider caps. When it comes to caps I have no idea there are so many choices! Keep up the good work though! Inspirational for sure!
Damn, that's a fine looking car! OK, I admit i'm biased, but it came out great. Love the color! Ralph
