  2. Well I like the color of it. You just can't beat a candy red Willys especially when it is the rarest of all of them. ;) :D:D

You are aware that we all want a look at it before it goes in the cave right?

Oh it also has some crappy TA wheels on it :) Has a small block mounted in it with muncie 4 speed. Car came with a sb chevy installed, and 4 speed. That's way cool find! I have the Hot Rod yearbook #12 (1972) "Catch Me if You Can" was featured in, I remember when I bought it I thought it and the 57 on the cover the coolest cars ever!

Ah, good old 'Texas Stash'. I have a weakness for any delivey. Is this considered a sedan delivery with 1 rear door or, panel delivery with 2 rear doors? Great catch.

Great score - but first off it is not a '34 nor a '33 - Willys did not produce them until 1935 (very rare with 88 quoted as the production number) and 1936 (ca 370 built) which has non opening windshield and different dash as well as many other detail changes. It is not a Sedan Delivery either - it is NOT based on a passenger car but was specifically built as a Panel Van or correctly, Panel Delivery. The single rear door does not determine if it is a sedan delivery or a panel - that's purely Fordspeak! I would need to see the dash to determine which year yours is. The wood looks to be in good shape but is also being reproduced to order. Feel free to PM me if you need further info.

    Here's a pic of my 1935 Panel....

It only has a rear single door.
The front windshield has a swing out glass ,
And the last digits on serial# is 34, all I know it's cool, and I own panel of some sort :)

  23. As a Pontiac man let me be the first to say..... those wheels on that car make me wanna puke! Putting the car up on blocks would raise the property value!

    Excellent score!

I see a 392 Hemi in your future.

Yea Ugly wheels :) and as I was looking at the car another guy drove up, I couldn't even haggle the price, had to jam the cash to him before the other guy did :)

  25. Good move!

The last thing you would have needed was a driveway auction.

There is one thing I don't understand about this body, the top and the bottom of the panel sides are in two pieces with nail holes going down the sides of the two, it's like it has another body molding piece that slips over the space look at the side view photo.

  29. Weasel I was not aware that they were a genuine panel and not a sedan delivery. Poor assumption on my part. It should have a heavier frame than the car (just a guess on my part) which would make it a better candidate for lots of torque.

    thanks for the information.
