So we have the junk tool thread. So what are some tools you just can't live without? Aside frome the normal screw drivers, hammers, combination wrenches. For me, it's gear wrenches. I don't know how I did anything before having them. What do you have?
I have this style ratchet (in diff. brands) and the below spinners (snap-on) in 1/4, 3/8 and 1/2. It's a family tradition; I have one of Grandpa's ratchets like this which is probably double my age. They tend to have a longer handle for more leverage and reach things with the angle that a 90degree ratchet won't. Then the spinner lets you finger un(thread) things with ease.

where do i start... 1/4" snap on electric impact driver 3/8" drive impact wrench ratcheting box end wrenches big ol' bent end pry bar air hammer big ol' dead blow hammer LED stinger streamlight flash light. DVOM TORQUE WRENCHES!!!!!
Digital caliper and Facom Cles a Pipe wrenches (not seen them anywhere but France). The 90 degree end is cut through so will work on a long nut or stud or you can put a bar through for extra torque.
I could never live without my lift, I would only be able to work on the top side of my cars without it.
Oooh, yeah, bench vice - amazing how difficult it is to do stuff without it. And while we're there - the bench. AND, some space. Any time I did work on my Plymouth in my old Uni rented accomodation I had to jury rig planks and a clamp-on-3" vice to work. Outside, in the rain, with an extension lead through the window. Oh, and extension lead.
These suckers right here...I've spent countless hours leveling ACRES of primer, body work and paint with them...they are my dear friends and long time companions, I can't imagine being without them... Eric
Don't let your age fool you, I am 70 and my Xacto knife with a #11 blade is still the most important tool I have.
Lots of stuff fits the definition....but in general I never have enough bench space, the plasma cutter, my anvil, and my caliper!!
My extensive range of hammers of all shapes and sizes - some even hammer shaped! If a hammer can't fix it - it can't be fixed!!!
Tape measure...how could I forget! I also find that a carpenter's square or combo square end up in my hand a lot.
