Gaps and panel alignment are as good or better than Henry did it.

I love what you're doing! Thanks for an interesting and informative thread. I've subscribed. I'm building an early A coupe out of a badly damaged and rusty Tudor.I couldn't afford a good coupe body, but its been a lot of fun! Keep up the good work. Len

Don't think I posted this earlier but I had some issues with one qtr and the cowl area around hinge opening. I made a flat panel with a hole and used a slide hammer on the qtr.

On the cowl a copper pin and slide hammer made to pull these.

Welding up the qtr in the next few pic's

I welded up the sill panel below the door and I either misaligned it or it moved after I set it. I pulled the door to weld the panel and then put the door back on and not happy with the gap.

I will be cutting it off a ordering a new panel.

You're doing a fantastic job. How about stepping back a few steps and giving us an overall shot? It's been a while.

    Mike,

In post #85 you said you got some Factory 32 quarter panel prints from "Kiwi Connection", can you elaborate? Was looking for some prints/drawing for 30 to 32 Tudor.

    Thanks in advance

Kiwi is out of California. The print is a half scale 32 ford raodster qtr. These are factory drawings, not something homemade.

Note that I did find some measurement errors when converting this to full scale. They are on the belt line curve and did not affect what I was after.Might be why the drawing exisits?

Also note that the right and left qtr on my car are not exactly the same either, guessing the clay model that was made had slight differences. Without patterns their is no way you can see these with the naked eye.

That really looks nice outside! I know it really doesn't matter but how many hours do you think you have into the body save? Bob [IMG]

Well Bob, it's getting to the point now where it's literally 100's.

I've gotten really anal about this project. I don't plan on building another car at this point and want this thing to built as well as I am capable, no short cut's.

Also note that It's quite often been interrupted with work on a 78 datsun and 51 chevy pickup. Such as was the case yesterday.

I have attached and removed the qtr so many times I've lost count.

The only short cuts worth taking will be the ones you take driving it. Bob

One of the more challenging areas to repair was the upper panel between the front edge ofthe deck lid and belt line.

first picture shows the gutters inplace to get a feel for what I need to make.

This panel has 2 slight curves that matches the front edge and top of the decklid.

It als has bends that allow it to hold the gutter. Fun!

My brake is only 3ft long so I had to make this in 2 pieces and weld it the center together.

The entire part is made from 3 , the top and inner lip. see picture 3.

Thier are not any pictures of this but as decklid algnment took place this thing was cut back out 3 times.
