    Ever since I was a teenager growing up in New Zealand I have loved stars and stripes paint jobs on hot rods and race cars.
    My heart will always be in my homeland but after living in the United States for over 30 years I have grown to really love the American flag and all it stands for.
    So I'm starting a picture thread for patriotic images with anything hot rod or drag car related. Feel free to add pic's. Other countries flags are welcome too.

    I guess I was drawn to the stars and stripes from an early age, here is the firewall I painted on my 46 Chevy PU from about 1978 The back cover on the rear end got the same treatment.

    My uncle had one of these, bought it off a guy who smashed it up at Elkhart Lake Road America. It took him a long time before getting back on the road. He painted it Hugger Orange to mask what it really was...and boy, that focker was fast!

    A guy in my neighborhood painted the flag on his cul-de sac. It's pretty neat
    but I'm not big on people driving across the flag !!!
