What car stuff do you hide from your wife?

I got thinking about some guys I know that hide car stuff from their wives. One hides spare money in his toolbox and the other actually has a 1969 corvette stashed away in a storage locker that his wife knows nothing about.

 

Nothing, I don't think that's a good way to have a healthy marriage.

 

She'll get the credit card bill for the new differential parts in about a month....then it'll hit the fan

 

seems to me, that if you gotta hide shit from her.. then mayhaps you got the
wrong woman..

Oohhhh, sounds like a potential scenario for one of those TV shows where they auction off the contents of storage lockers coz the owner hasn't been paying the bill ...... coz he has dropped dead and nobody else knows about his 'stash'

I'd would never hide anything from my Ex -wife, probably why she's my ex-wife. Haha how a sweet girl can turn into the spawn of the devil.

I actually know folks like this, can't be healthy way of living, lying your ass off all the time.

And anyway, my point is that I'm too busy to keep track of an ever-growing web of deception. It's easier to remember the truth.

 

The other women that 32 named Bettie, no she knows about her. She dose not like her. I buy her new things all the time and she has seen the credit card statements .Well I better go mow the yard ,wash her car kiss her ass and tell her how much I love my car !!

 

Nothin.....after all, the Shoebox is hers.

Nothing really, used to get razzed about all the Summit boxes, but only in a good way

 

My gal took my hotrod A coupe while we were at a car cruise. She was gone with her girlfriend for about an hour. Everyone teased me she was selling the car. She told me a few days later about how she smoked some camaro at a stop light. Perhaps I should have hidden the keys, but what the heck...that's what it's about, having fun.

Come to think of it, I wonder if she hid winnings from that race from me?

I had a whole other 60 my wife didn'y know about. one night we were fighting about money and I told her about it. I sold it and it helped pay for RN school. We have agreed that after I pass my boards I can have an old car budget. I told her that this is a must. I hate being a liar.. If this doesn't happen my marriage is in trouble because old cars is who I am... We shall see.

 

She knows what I have. She doesn't know what it costs and she doesn't ask. It's better that way.

I think it'a more of a question of what do they hide from US! Just kidding! But seriously, I dont hide anything from mine. She might be controlling about other stuff, but not about cars because she knows that it makes me happy. Mine doesn't know what stuff costs, but even if she did she wouldn't mind as long as I'm enjoying it. By that token, she doesn't know what it costs each month to pay the bills, gas, etc. and was completely horrified a few months back when I showed here just how much money I have to come up with each month.

 

Another guy I knew DID NOT hide his new project from his wife, he left it in the driveway. Then he dissappeared for a few days.

I need better friends.
