It's 105° outside, was thinking off working on my ol truck, but can't do anything without making myself sick. How does every one deal with this heat.
It's the same down here in Nashville. Heading down to a cruise in this evening... and I think to myself, "who is the sick one here"! I gunna burn up! I'll see if my truck is really summer ready.
This is weird, for a change Florida is cooler than most places in the US. Hurricane Debby brought us some much appreciated cool weather, but you guys are really getting it bad. Don
Ya, it was that at 8AM... right now it's pretty close to the forecast high today of 114. So? If it makes you feel any better, it will be that for the next 3 months or so. i just go out and work in the early morning and come in about 1PM.
I've got my 41 pickup in my basement..nice and cool down there. 104 outside right now in St Louis. Just wish my COE would fit down there too...but alas, too tall and wide.
I'd say you guys need an ocean and a nice bay close by. I don't think we had one day over 95 here where I live last year.
102 here as I type in West TN. Was working on my garage doors earlier today until the shade disappeared then I called it quits. Inside under the AC looking through the HAMB. Resting up for the next 3 days when its up to 106! 48 Poncho
Ahhhh....it's low 80's here. Now you guys remember this come winter when you are telling us NW and NE guys how dumb we are for living where it is cold
11 days straight of 100+ here, finally a cold front dropped us down to 95 Hell i've been sanding on the kid's ride, the other day after work & left the long board sander out in the sun for maybe 20-30 minutes while i went in the house----HOLY HELL! that damn thing had to be close to 1000 degrees! when the hell did i move to the sun?? i didn't sweat this bad when i had 'real' job.
I don't know what it is in Dallas here, but once it goes over 90 I just label it as "too hot". I have 3 box fans around me in the garage. Trust me, if I could afford bigger I would have it.
It might be normal everywhere else but we don't usually see this kind off heat around here, and I'm not used to it.
Currently 96 at 5:00 in the afternoon here in the CSRA of GA. Next three days projection for temps to top at 104 to 106. No A/C at the shop. Going to cool off next week, only going to be in the mid 90's. Could be worse, look at the Colorado fires, God help those folks.
ah...startin' to cook here, but it's the humidity that really kills us... one city east of Pasadena, CA at 13:54:50 Pacific Time on 28 June <table align="center" cellpadding="1"> <tbody><tr> <td width="175"> Temperature </td> <td width="175"> +87.1 °F </td> <td width="175"> Humidity </td> <td width="175"> 13 % </td> </tr> <tr> <td width="175"> Wind Speed (Gust) </td> <td width="175"> 9.6 MPH </td> <td width="175"> Wind Direction (Gust) </td> <td width="175"> 204° (SW) </td> </tr> <tr> <td width="175"> Wind Speed (1 Min Avg) </td> <td width="175"> 6.3 MPH </td> <td width="175"> Wind Direction (1 Min Avg) </td> <td width="175"> 217° (SW) </td> </tr> <tr> <td width="175"> Barometer </td> <td width="175"> 30 In.Hg and Steady </td> <td width="175">Rainfall </td> <td width="175"> 0 In. since Midnight </td> </tr> <tr> <td width="175">Sunrise </td> <td width="175"> was at 05:43:39 </td> <td width="175">Sunset </td> <td width="175"> will be at 20:07:39 </td> </tr> </tbody></table> <table align="center" cellpadding="1"> <tbody><tr> <td align="center" width="250"> Today's Extremes </td> </tr> </tbody></table> <table align="center" cellpadding="1"> <tbody><tr> <td width="175"> Maximum Temperature </td> <td width="175"> +88.7 °F at 13:45 </td> <td width="175"> Minimum Temperature </td> <td width="175"> +56.5 °F at 06:20 </td> </tr> <tr> <td width="175"> Maximum Humidity </td> <td width="175"> 44 % at 03:00 </td> <td width="175"> Minimum Humidity </td> <td width="175"> 10 % at 13:48 </td> </tr> <tr> <td width="175"> High Pressure </td> <td width="175"> 30.03 In.Hg at 13:18 </td> <td width="175"> Low Pressure </td> <td width="175"> 29.94 In.Hg at 07:18 </td> </tr> <tr> <td width="175"> Rainfall Rate </td> <td width="175"> nil </td> <td width="175"> Maximum Wind Speed </td> <td width="175"> 10.1 MPH, 219° at 13:48 </td></tr></tbody></table>
I'll take the heat, over the cold, any day.. I'm one of the few that go home everyday with the windows down, and don't turn on the A/C unless I'm stopped in traffic, and my arm starts to burn.
I work on my driveway most of the time. no shade etc. You just learn to live with it and you have to learn how to tell when you are too hot.
