Event Coverage Road Rocket Rumble PHOTOS!!! Indy 2012

Another great Rumble in Indy this past weekend and a good workout for my new camera! It's still cooling down and I'm giving it the day off. Myself, too!

So here's a batch to get you started and more to follow. I'm sure there's more than a few HAMBer's cars in the mix.

And if you were there with a camera feel free to share some of your own shots here as well!

 

No, it's not the camera's fault or even operator error. But the pics in the field look a bit strange because there's no green in the grass. Everything is really that toasted since it's been so hot and dry!

Poor Boy prospect Adam's truck he has been redoing (formally owned by TN poor boy St. Clark) Good to see others Adam made the show and others appreciate his rework on the old Ford.

OK gang! This is the last batch for me. I saw lots of folks with cameras there this weekend so go ahead and share your pics here and take over for me! Now it's time to go take my camera's temperature again. I think he's broke his fever and should feel fine by Monday.

The Poorboys that made it up from Tennessee had a big time - Tom, Naomi, and all the Road Rockets are all top notch folks.



About halfway between Nashville and Indy I had blowout on the Caddy. Sshredded the left rear tire, ripped off the fender skirt KABLAMMO!!! ... My club brothers jumped in to help and we had the tire changed and were back on the road in just a few minutes.

BTW The charcoal and silver '50 Pontiac with the flaked top got our club big trophy.

Great pick on the Pontiac, I love that beauty. Some really super cool rides at the event. The Stude bus is way cool! I love the pair of cutom Plymouths, awesome. The Krylon special looks amazing as always. Thanx for sharing the show with us. ~sololobo~

It's supposed to be an old trick to prevent vapor lock, I've never known it to work tho.

Great event coverage!!

 

We drove it over on Friday for its maiden voyage. Pulled down 22mpg @ 80 mph. Only had to tighten one brake line and adjust the kickdown cable on the trans once.

The owner wanted to head back before dark so we left early. Sorry.

 

Yep, I missed the 60 edsel. I was just happy to run across the wagon.
