1934 Ford Australian roadster ute

I may have a chance to get this ute, it does not run but looks fairly complete.
Anyone have an idea of what I should pay, and I am not saying where it is at at least not untill I know if I can get it or not.

I would pay about 5 to 8 for that based on the photos, it looks to be a cut down tourer to me becuase of how the body lines stop behind the door and its just a flat piece across the front of the bed section, I could be wrong though..

It is an original '35 wellside ute. Pic attached

 

Doesn't look like a well side, rear body and fenders are different.Wellside has a narrower body with buck boards that extend over fenders. Note width (Crown) or rear fenders. Wellside has fatter RPU style fenders, those are more like sedan. Looks like a 'gennie' roadster utility going by rear pressing. Rear 1/4's are part of body, not separate. Ford did some strange unique things with bodies. This is a 'gennie' 32 Ford utility, note how the rear pressing behind seat are similar to the 35 pictured.

I did this earlier this year, asked people what it might be worth, should I shouldn't blah blah blah. You and I both know you're going to own that car. Now get round there, ask how much they want and stretch to somewhere near it. Keep the owner happy and he might turn round and say, "know what i got a box of bits you can have with it".

Now get your coat, wallet and buy that thing!

 

It belongs to an old timer whose time is nearly up, I have to tread carefully, however I think I have the inside running as he wants to sell up his collection before his wife has to do it. he has about 5/6 other cars not quite so old. He is an old mate of a good mate so we shall see, I have known about this car for about 5 years and have only just seen it. I should know in the next week or so if I am a chance.

The one in the original post is 304 well type roadster ute which is more commonly known as a wellside. as per the picture I posted in my last post.

btw that '32 is also a 304 well type (aka wellside)

Your right, can be a tricky deal to work out.
You have a rough idea of what its worth, the fellow who owns it will
have his own idea. My old man had a 29 nash a few years ago
and thought it was worth 80 k ,,got 15k for it.

I would try to get him to name a price , do you plan on rodding it ?
If so l wouldnt mention that.

there could be someone over there now, who didn't sit behind the computer to ask what its worth. I've never done that, I ask the owner what he wants then think if its worth that to me, you can always haggle if the price makes your eyes water.

As far as I know nothing has happened with it yet.
