Ready for a scrub down but its all there. The kick panels didn't survive test of time but the red material is actually from the rumble seat in Tim's car. I'm going to re-stretch it and use it to make kick panels.

Been busy with work the past month so not much progress. On vacation now for a while so hopefully I'll kick some ass on it. This morning some friends came over and we took the body off so I can't paint the underside

It's about time you did something!

Two months of full time building will put a dent in finishing up. Let me know if you need help moving things around or just general shop annoyance.

While the body was up in the air I made and welded in inner rockers and finished welding the underside of the tailpan. I cleaned up everything and por 15'd the inside of the body and shot a coat of bedliner on the underside. The body is now ready to come back down for bodywork. I'm also going to start disassembling the chassis for paint

My Muncie shifter also came in so I bolted it on to check it out. T and F shifter out of Oregon makes this slick little setup putting the shifter on top and forward like a Ford top loader
The thing shifts smoothly and works great. I had a Ford stick that I modified to work

Lots of progress...just haven't had time to post pics or do an update. Will do soon. Here's a shot of the body headed to my friend Don's place for bodywork. Doors, dash, and deck lid are ready for paint. I'm thinking about spraying the body and frame with lacquer. There is a place in jersey that actually still mixes the old ford colors up

Took everything apart for prep and paint. Frame is getting blasted so it's nice and clean for paint. Should be back tomorrow. I got the front suspension painted and my front bearings came in. I should have the front end back together tomorrow. The bodywork on the car shell is also roughed in

    More pics soon

Looking good! It always feels like you on the home stretch when the chassis starts to go together for the final time, like your finally making progress. I can't wait to see that body painted out. Let me know if you need help lifting or anything.

Keep bangin', Wildwoods' right around the corner!

Got the frame cleaned up again in preparation for a little bodywork on the sides where it was welded to the frame. There were some slag berries here and there that needed removed too. With the heat we've had the past week and me sweating all over it surface rust had started to appear so I gave it a good once over with a wire wheel. Hung it in the rack and cleaned her up. Front suspension stuff was still a little tacky so I'm going to wait until tomorrow to assemble it.
