Yeah, I'd have to say this one. Grandpa always had some cool car around, so ALL old cars were "normal" in our family, but CadZZilla? Yeah, that was the stuff.

I STILL have my poster, somewhere....

I love The Defibrillator. The two guys that teamed to build it, Bob Biehler and Larry Foss, deserve great respect for their artistic talents and as just plain good guys!

I don't even know what year the car was and it was already rotting into the ground at my Grandparents camp in New England when I was 5 or 6. It was a Stutz Bear Cat Roadster. I can still remember sitting behind that round glass drivers windshield cranking on the wheel and pulling on leavers thinking I was the fastest driver in the world.

Sy Gregorich's 55 Crown Victoria & the Dodge Deora. Both cars built by the incomperable Alexander Brothers.

  20. Born in So. Cal in the early 40's. I grew up with many of the cars listed, either on the street or on the strip. most of the impressions were never famous. but Ivo's T on the cover of Hot Rod aug 1957 hit me real good.

lot of famous shops in the area built some bad ass cars that never hit a magazine.

The single car that ruined me for life was Bob Porters 32 3-window. after Bob got it from Doyle Gammel he turned that duece into the baddest driver on the street. it was 365 day a year sole transportation. L88 big block 4 speed vette rear end. ran mid 120's in street trim. even used it as TOW CAR for his race car.
I spent time behind the wheel and have never thought of owning any other Duece in the world

I was blown away by the attention to detail. It was the first time I saw what a car build could be. The Hot Rod cover is the only picture I could find.

Lil John's T sedan. Built the model as a 12 yr old, then got a ride in it at 75' Memphis nationals at 13. Didn't get any better for a kid! For those younger than I, that would be John Buttera.
