I wanted to run 18"-19" wire wheels with my disc brakes, but after reading a lot about the issues that it causes I am looking at artillery sytle wheels. Did any manufacturers make a 18" artillery wheel in any bolt pattern
The infamous "Divco" wheels (which were accessory high clearance wheels for Ford cars and never actually used on Divco trucks) were 18" and were used a fair amount on early dry lakes racers because they were the only wheel with the Ford pattern that would take the 18" surplus tires they were racing on. They're extremely expensive though, and heavy. If you're willing to go to a 17" rim, 35 Dodges and mid 30's Chevy products had 17" artilleries. The Dodge ones are a bit harder to find, but they have the 5 on 4.5" pattern which is nice. The Chevy ones used the 6 lug pattern on the Master series cars and an oddball 5 on 4.25 pattern on the Standard series cars. Those Chevrolet Standard wheels are pretty common and can be had cheap, you just have to be willing to run pattern adapters or to redrill your hubs and axles to match. Nice looking wheels though.

I just got off the phone with wheelsmith, I inquired about 16" 7 and 8 inch wide artillery rims for my truck I mentioned I needed the 16" for caliper clearance they told me that the 15" would clear my calipers which is good news as the tire selection for 15" inch is so much better. the person I spoke with was friendly and extremely helpful so based on their customer service I am going with wheel smith just my 2 cents
