    Hello to all,

about the windshield.... I'm reminded of an event that happened to me during a reversal of the cab.

I fell on the cabin floor and has crushed the middle.

May have reduced the space as shown by the arrow...?

Please someone tell me the exact measurement from the edge of the windshield above the one below.

Any help would be greatly appreciated

    Thank you so much man

Frank, the assembly manual shows this to be 15.16". I checked an old cab that still has the rubber in it. From the top of the rubber (top of cab) to the bottom of the rubber (at cowl) this dimension is 16.625". Hope this helps, or someone else chims in with more info....Jim

Frank, i just measured my cab (no glass or rubber) and came up with 15.125 inches roughly. I see in the photo of the cab on its roof, that the center windshield pillar is bent. I wonder if you dont have the roof fully pushed back out?

    Hi Yaidunno,

I tried to put in place as it was before but with the center beam
is not easy. Perhaps nothing has happened but I doubt it came because the windshield does not fit well. Maybe the rubber needs to be changed ... I do not know.

Many many thanks for your help

    Hi Eric,

    thanks.

Plates were already installed on the truck when I bought it because it comes from California. Unfortunately I can not leave and I'll have to replace them with Italian license plates :(.

Soon there will be new updates ;)

    Thank yo so much

Hello guys, some little update :).

This morning came the Ididit Steering Column and I immediately
    installed on the truck.

This is a paintable column and will be painted white like the dash

  22. Are you just starting to make your steering connections this late in the build?

    65Standard no :),

I'm late for work with other commitments.
Until I had the column could not buy the linkage.

Will I need to install 3 u-joint and 1 support bearing to go around the headers.

Just got caught back up on your build, awesome! I hope you get the windshield figured out, wish I could help, but keep on plugging away and everything will come together. Great work!

Dude, good news! I was just having a conversation with my glass guy (been at glass for 50yrs.) and were talking about how my one windshield trim didn't fit like the other side. He noticed the print on the glass and told me the one company always cuts their glass on the big side! He was going to take it out and grind it down and I told him not to worry about it at the moment. Then I thought of you! I think the glass is too big! See if you can find an original to compare yours with. Just had to let you know!

    Hi Hotrod49,
thank you so much for thinking of me.

I compared the original and the new windows are the same size.
It great nor small, are identical.....

I might cut both the glass in the top center...only 2 mm.....
is an attempt that I do.

Thank you very much for your time :)

  28. good luck with the glass. I have seen cabs become disfigured from being set on the top, side, and the back. while people weld panels in. sanding the glass might be the best idea.

Was it original (OEM) or just the glass that was in the the truck when you got it? I ask because the bigger glass will fit on its own, just not with the deluxe rubber and trim!
