I am trying to get an accurate measurement from lower part of door jam to center of rear axle on a 1955 Chevy 2 door sedan. Any help will be appreciated.
Thought someone said once this is the most knowlegable forum on the web for tri five Chevys. This should be an easy question.
I'm guessing that your rear wheelwells have been altered? If they are going to remain the same you could just find the center of your wheel opening and drop a plumb bob to find center with the car at final ride height.
Yes its altered a bit, but the quarter panel has also been cut. I'm trying to set the axle correctly so when I have new quarters installed it will be correct.
You might get more helpers from the 55 guys if you had 55 Chevy in the title. I would help but no where near my car right now.
Swapping the whole chassis. The wheelbase is correct just trying to position the body over it properly. The door jam I thought would be a good reference point.
