This comment was typed from one of my most special friends and will forever be imortalized in this thread. This comment came on the first few pages of this build and everytime I see it, Mark Olsen or OLY as he was known seems to be standing in front of me. Mark Olsen passed away not long after this comment, as some of you remember he built the "Cancer Car Roadster" I know Ryan remembers him very well. Well Mark I miss you very much and this car will be done with class just as you are and will always be. RIP my friend.
Ummm is that roadster or coupe in the backround? If it's a roadster, I'll send you my address so you can send it.
Oh and the bumper looks beautiful!! License plate surround looks very good with that bumper. '49 Chevy?
Man, Skip, you keep teasing us with the stuff in the background too. First the chopper that doesn't exist (yeah it didn't exist when I sat on it either), now a cherry "T" body... where'd that come from?! I'm closely examining the reflections in all that chrome to see what else you might be hideing.
..just did the entire 1518 posts..again.. I feel like I got over bra action waiting to score.. Colors please I beg you.. ..let me have it..
Yeah, but it looks like you're "too sexy for your shirt" though, ha, ha! Gotta love the Fresno heat huh?
Sorry to hear that Mark passed. I just saw his roadster at the Visalia car show a couple weeks ago and wondered how he was doing.
Hey Mark, PM Ryan about OLY's passing and he will change his member status. Even though I've seen the stuff you turn out first hand many, many times I still cant believe how awesome that Vicky is.
OK, so other people notice choppers and Tall "Ts" I can't help but notice that old container of McKay grease. I have a few tubs like that, must be thirty + years old. The parts are looking good as always. Can't wait to see the whole car together.
Your attention to details is great. Though I thought we all had vintage lubricant containers in our shops as a part of our traditional leanings.
Glass is back and came out great....the driver door glass you can see the risers I made, that is how tall the glass use to be.
Beautiful. Your a craftsman. And don't tell me the glass guy and the welder did all the work. This is gonna be a bitchin car. See, I know better. I know what It takes to do one of these and make it look right. It takes dedication and vision, a quality that's hard to find anymore. Lippy
The whole project is amazing, such a perfectly designed and balance Custom Car. This will be one car that will have a huge impact when its all done. The steering wheel and column alone is a work of art. PERFECT!!! And all the other photos you have showed... this will be so fantastic, I cannot wait to see more. You must feel really great to be able to work on such a nice project.
