Yeah a lot of the cars I just walk past dont offer anything for me, but the Swap meet is awesome and there are always a few gems in there, I really Liked the 36 ford with the red pinstripe and the little red coupe with the bitchen dash. I also met a ton of folks, was walking around with my legendary finds shirt on and was getting stopped left and right, so I guess its getting more well knows :) Plus I got those bad ass wheels :)

I somehow missed this sectioned-full-fendered Deuce 5wd Coupe:

... I wonder if it is Bill Crowell's old "Bay City Champion" Coupe built in SF in the early '50s? ...

I wasn't able to attend today. Those familiar with this show, will it be comparable tomorrow?

  18. Yes, Sunday is the award day so the show is big

Best to there as early as you can for the swap, the vendors stay but the little guy with the box van full of parts wil pack up early. I'm going tomorrow.

The cars for sale area is always pretty cool too.

    Thanks fior the pics Lars!

  19. Legendary Lars -

You bypassed it because it has radials? ... Tsk, tsk ... How elitist of you! ;) :)

I'll try to check it (the car & the sign) out tomorrow.

PS: How come I can't find a camshaft for an early HEMI on your "other website"? :D

Thanks. Just got back from the show, and am now tired, hungry, and thirsty. Oh, and sunburned. So... it was a good show*

I didn't bother to take pictures, since Lars' pics just about covers the good stuff.

*Other than the guy looking to ass-rape people wanting YOM plates. I mean, if you're 2x what they regularly go for on ebay by reputable sellers, and 1.5x what the other vendors at the same show are selling at, your prices are too high. I don't need to pay a "Goodguys tax" because you had to pay them for your booth space. And you don't need to be an ass when I tell you 'no thanks,' like I've somehow wasted your time... you actually wasted mine.

Did you see the exhaust on this Chevy 250??

It had 3 small tubes, maybe 1" or so diameter each sticking up through the rear corners of the cab. I would have loved to hear it running. I'll bet it clears out roosting birds for miles.
