The story on this 48 is that it was originally purchased by the govt of Egypt. It was there for 40 years then came back to the states. It has 2 stickers on the dash that say 'AAA' of Egypt.

Did this car come with no stainless side trim. I dont see a gap where the fender trim would go into the headlight trim. At least not from that pic.

 

A friend of mine welded a piece from another ring to fill the gap when I removed the fender stainless on my 48. Looks factory.

Thanks for the compliment! The gap is there - trim has been removed. The rear fenders are molded to the body too which I don't care for. I'd prefer the side trim too - at least the trim and fender work can be retured to original.

 

I can't tell for sure, but the cowl seam looks like it's been filled. Also, looks like the rockers were extended to meet the bottom of the fenders.

I never really cared much for Plymouths until recently. I neither thought positively or negatively about them. But here recently I've taken a liken to em. I even bought one. With it being a 1954 it is too new to be posted here in this thread.<?xml:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-comfficeffice" /><o></o>
In my opinion the stock and mildly modified Plymouths look the best. Thanks to everyone who posted pictures. <o></o>

Just sold this one. Real original 1947 4-door. I still have good parts....like 4 really good doors and more. I have had 4 of these cars. I like em and plan to buy more as they come along.
