Right on Eric, keep it up. Are you going to have to do any work to the rear window garnish? Whats next on the list?

Thanks Scott. Next on the list is to actually search for rear window garnish moulding.....it was never with the car. Some modification of this moulding will more than likely be required as the whole metal work there is completely new, even though the basic shape has been retained. So if you know anyone with a spare moulding......:D

Nice progress as usual. I like the fact that you decided to keep the vent windows, good choice! There are too many chopped cars out there that have deleted them. It just adds a nice touch to an already awesome car.

Do you know if it's the same as a 48 business coupe, if it is, I've got one that I'll send you for the cost of shipping.

Thank you Smokeybear! From what I can see after checking out a lot of pics on the internet, it should fit without any problems. Thank you very much for this generous and Hamb spirited gesture, I truly appreciate it. You've got to love the Hamb! PM sent.

    Thank you once again Smokeybear!

Got back late last night from the Dutch Hambers meeting. We all first met up at Art.Flame's place for coffee, then it was off to the palace for a photo shoot. (the professional pics will be posted when I get them, I quickly snapped the ones below.) After the shoot, it was off to HarryStepvan's place for the beer and bbq. It was great to meet a lot of new guys and hang out. I certainly had an awesome time with my likeminded (new) friends.:D

Started on the rear deck lid. The PO (or whoever did it) did not take the time to do it properly.......Started on the lower left side, cut the old piece and got it in the right position. Then tacked it, hammered it and welded it up, one inch at a time to prevent it from warping. Then did the ajoining piece and repeated the same process. Got the grinder out and smoothed it all. Going to work on the bottom right tomorrow and work my way to the center.

From what you can see from the first pic, I have a long way to go. Then it's on to the inner part, requiring a lot of work as well. Don't you just love it!:D
