It was built at Kemp's Rod and Restoration. You might give them a call to find out more info.

Here are build pics from their site.

Part of the reason I take and post so many pics is to learn "what not do do, as much as what to do".

Every once in a while I get an idea that I think may look good...I surf through my pictures to see if anybody else has tried something similar. Sometimes I find the same idea; if it looks like hell, I drop the idea right there. .....Sometimes it looks great and I do it.

That's one of the reasons for going to a GG's show...or any other "billet" show for that matter...there's lots of ideas there on every car, from individuals, and builders, that can afford to say "do it this way no matter the cost." If it wasn't for them, half the ideas on HAMB cars today wouldn't be there (including the dreaded air bags...!!!).

  12. Yes, it was one of the RideTech truck & was pretty bad too....green Chevy truck, I think it was.
    As for the show itself.....
I love this show, enough traditionals to keep me happy, but stil too many rat rods and this year way too many junk rods. IMO, Nashville is a very fun town.

My first post was a negative take on all the streamlined interiors, bucket seats, and center console interiors, but I can't imagine so many fine cars in one place, especially the unusual humback sedans, rare models, and unusual vehicles, a real treat. It is hell to be so stuck in the 50's-60's look and not be able to appreciate the big wheel, low profile tires, tilt columns, billet pieces. Then I realize it is mainly because I don't have the bucks to obtain all those items. Hats off to the guys smart enough to be successful in life and build beautiful cars. ~sololobo~

I do that all the time. They are a big source of relief later when you think to yourself, man, I'm sure glad I didn't do that - especially paint colors! Gary

  19. Come on Bruce....I am not talking about cars like your El Camino, it is as traditional as can be. I was not talking about rust or rough bodys, I am talking taste and safety.

Love the photos! WOW! Great coverage. I too like everything but prefer traditional, however, there are a LOT of cool ideas that can come out of studying everything there. THANK YOU for taking the time to post all of this.

PS: What are you shooting with??

Nothing special. It is a four year old Canon Powershot S5is. I just leave it in auto mode all the time.
