Thanks, no bags here. I made 3" blocks for the rear and I cut 3/4 of a coil in the front. They were sagging a bit before i started

Anyone have a 52 plymouth hood trim pice?.....the one that says plymouth in all metal.....my 51 has the plastic crap and it doesn't look like they make re pop's of it.....

 

Here's a '54 we finished 8 or 10 years ago. Some thrifty food for thought.

'54 Plaza Business Coupe (no roll-down rear windows, one-piece) $500

'78 (?) running Malibu Classic Coupe (upgraded to similar but longer El Camino rails) $250

'55 331 Hemi (bored to 354") traded for a set of 41-48 Ford spindles that I got for free.

Channeled 3 or 4 inches over chassis. 350TH, 10-bolt rear.

 

Basket wheels came with Malibu -- added Plymouth hubcaps.

Louvered front fenders.

 

Now 354". Cheap (and great!) Speedway radiator -- had to move one outlet.

 

International Harvester Travell-All headlight rims -- frenched with no body work. $1 each at Pick-A-Part.

Homemade rear pan and '53 taillight buckets with homemade lenses.

 

. . . and finally the dash, mostly stock. Malibu column. By using the El Camino chassis as a whole, you don't have to screw around with a front clip, a rear clip, proportioning the brakes, etc. Power steering, power disc brakes, the works for $250.

Here's a few pictures of my "54 Belvedere Suburban. I've posted pictures on other threads before, but figured it should also be on with all the other Mopars. The top is chopped 3", wing windows eliminated, 1 piece 1/4 glass, all glass done by Jim Arnold, NONAME on the HAMB. Running gear is 405" Chev SB, 700R4, 9" Ford, S-10 front frame clip with dropped spindles.

Very cool wagon.

 

Just picked this 1950 Plymouth a week ago. Going to Daily Drive it for a while. I want to lower it some. How far down can you go with out bagging it and not cutting the frame up.
