Here's my "Moon Unit" if the attachments work.
It has a 455 Olds front wheel drive ala Toronado.

I like it. And I suspect it has 2 more slide-outs on the other side. Gary

I saw at least one other UltraVan here. The unit with the blue stripes. It now belongs to a friend in the Florida Panhandle. This is the one we bought four years ago. Has a 48,000 mile stock original Corvair drivetrain. A 1969. Our plan was to swap in a late model GM front wheel drive unit in the rear. Shit happens and it still sits in the yard waiting.

You think that could be because the title clearly says "hamb friendly motor homes" old hot rods and old campers do go together for some of us.

Can someone please get more Info on this!!!!
Crazy cool!! That really stretches sensitiv skin!

What do you mean; No hot rods? If this aint a hot rod was is? Its build time specific, using parts from the junkyard and put together in a back street after hours, by some American guy using old American know-how.
How else would you go camping? 50s merc and a airstream?
Futurliner, yellowstone or pre-70 school bus? The rest i mostly out of the 70s, not exately HAMB material, or even cool. In my book that is!!

Thats RV is the bastard son of a chopped merc and a truck. They might have play a little with sterioids, how else does it get that big.

Too bad you weren't around in the early sixties when all of the "traditional" speed equipment manufacturers were one upping one another with their motorhomes. The Hacienda in Las Vegas had an RV park and many of the guys parked there for the first couple of SEMA shows. Bobby and Don Spar (B&M) actually started building custom motorhomes and every body in the business was driving Sportscoaches to events.
