Mehelichs? Hadn't heard that name in a while. I knew they worked really well on your sedan, but didn't know what they were.

The rear wheels are American slot mags, purchased new in summer of 1985.
    10" x 15" with 2 7/8" backspace.

They have 32 Ford re-pro caps adapted to them.
These caps are for aftermarket spoke wheels and about 2" smaller in diameter than a standard 48 Ford hubcap.
Available at most of the aftermarket wheel houses.

Here's a couple pics of the two piece adapters.

    Here's a close-up.

    The fronts are Western 5 1/2" x 14".
    Same adapters.
All wheels have been drilled and tapped 1/4-20 for the adapters.

For my nickel, that's a set of righteous looking wheels. Mismatched? Bah!

  16. Piper106 . . . found the pic that shows a stock size 48 Ford hubcap and the smaller 32 re-pro cap side by side.

  17. Funny, back in the day it was mags up front and steelies out back. When I came of driving age in the 80s, it was stock front wheels, Cragars out back(because they were cheap by then), with (advertised as"The Huge")N-50s and air shocks so the fenderwells on the Camaro didn't rub.

That cars dead now. I used to be the cartaker of it(wish I never sold it).. It was built by another HAMBer, v8. It's still cool, but its not "that car" anymore. It's more like an Roth Monster car now.

Exactly the reason why I love mismatched wheels so much! My favorite hoodie is the TRJ hoodie with the roadster, chrome reverses in front and slicks on 5-spokes out back. After I get my A driving, I want to hunt down 5-spokes and get some Hurst slicks so I can swap out the rear wheels whenever I feel like it.

This thread needs to come back in a big way.

I know they aren't really mixed but they're different kinds and colors at least.
