GO GREYBEARDS GO!!!!!!!!!! Now that's Hotrodding! This is the type of cross country trip us Eastcoasters are contemplating in the near future. Will definitely look for you guys out there and will come say Hi. Good luck on your trip!!!
Paid for our flights today (16 & 1/2 hours flying time) --- so add two Kiwi's to the list. Any suggestions on reasonably priced accommodation welcome.
I just booked a couple of miles down the road Garey Ave, Pomona Motel 6. About $50 a night, you can book on line.
We'll be there in building 4 my roadster in the shiny area . Thursday Lunch time is our LimeWorks open house Taco Day , The Fire Dept parking lot should be available again. Details to follow. Have a safe trip all, see you there.

My family and i are flying over, arrive on the morning of the 14th. Staying in Hollywood somewhere i think... Need a ride (by myself) to the show if anyone can help? Cheers!
Anybody DRIVING a Hotrod from NEW ENGLAND or the NORTHEAST? My pops is contemplating making the trip from Vermont in his roadster again.
Word to thw wise, stay away from Motel 6 on Garey Ave in Pomona, try Motel 6 in San Dimas or better yet there are plenty of good quality places along Foothill Blvd (Old Route 66) in Claremont and the Upland area.
Good call. That area of Pomona is kind of seedy. Claremont, Montclair, and Upland are just a few miles up the -10 Freeway, and much, much nicer.
We will be waiting for Pat and Randy,I'll be getting some 30 swapp spaces for all my friends from the different so.cal. car clubs, and of coarse the saterday evening bar-b-que.
X2 for Motel 6 in San Dimas on Arrow (fri-sat nights for me). Michealangelo's Pizza/Italian food pretty much on the premises (shares the same parking lot), as is Applebees/Dennys/Del Taco......Plus a 99 cent store across the street for cheap snacks.
I'm going to really make the effort this year and get a couple of swap spaces to set up 'Camp Willys' after years of putting it off - see my signature line. Mainly 1933-42 Willys parts and cars - couple of coupes, gasser stuff, early hemi stuff, wild induction systems, 60s mag wheels, Halibrand quick changes, some 1930-1940 Ford stuff too - shameless self promotion I know but hey, there's going to be some good stuff and some rare stuff up for grabs. Look for the Willys signs hanging from the EZ Up bring $$$ and say hi....
Thanks for the heads up. Its a popular complex - booked out. Pencilled into an 'interesting' looking establishment on Holt Blvd - Ontario Inn & suites - gotta live dangerous sometime!!!
