Really? I thought yours was a lot lighter than ours. Don't worry though when I get my fat ass in there it will even out the weight.

It was a beautiful day out so I decided to do a little work on the Doll, I just bought a wood shift knob this past weekend at the Goodguys show in Del Mar so I wanted to make it work on the shifter we have for the powerglide.

I've always felt it was just too modern in the car but it was necessary for the powerglide and the ease for racing...

So with a little elbow grease and some washers it looks much better. 60's vibe going on!

When opportunity comes you gotta take it...

For the last couple weeks we have been drooling over our buddies dragster hauler and kicking around the idea of building one ourself... Be careful for what you wish for!

We ended up buying this 37 GMC 3 Ton truck. It has the original 6 and runs pretty good. So we are going to make this our new ramp truck for the "Antique Doll"!!!

Raced down at Barona's 1/8 mile this past weekend for their antique drags. It went great! Ran very good, and got to meet some great people.

I was able to bring along my GoPro camera finally for a ride, so i thought you guys would enjoy the view!

I had a great race with fellow Hamber Old6rodder, thats the video I posted below.

what changes did you have to make to roll bar / cage to meet current specs?

  15. Great video! Love your car Dimitri! Someday I'd like to come down to Barona with mine, get a visit in to my sister in SD too.

Thanks guys! Glad you like it! The car is running great, but we still want to take it to a 1/4 mile strip to see how she will do. The fastest the car has been has been 12 flat in the 1/4... we are SO CLOSE to the 11's!

Well the cage is "technically" not NHRA Legal... BUT it is much much safer then no roll bar at all. I took some detail shots of the cage that I sent to Tim (dragsled) that I can post on here. Basically its safe enough without being too bulky and we usually get away with it through tech.

Some people complain that we added the roll cage to the chassis... ruining it's originality... but it's a race car not a cackle car and it will always be one.

Well... Some unfortunate news... Looks like we are not going to be making Eagle Field after all...

Still might have a chance... But as of right now doesn't seem like its going to happen.

At least there will be October!

  29. Sorry to hear that D, but hope you can make it still. Keep on truckin!!!!

    My favorite shot.....
