  21. Hey Paul,

Thanks for "the announcement".....and Thanks to everyone for the nice comments.

This has been quite a milestone to get into the 10's with a Flathead Rail that was built on a small budget, with a lot of donations of parts from a bunch of friends....Thanks Guys for helping me "live the dream:cool:"!!!!....AND it was done on the 32nd pass on the car(for those of you who know me...that's a special number).

It literally has "rusty cylinder bores", used bearings, all homemade stuff, like the blower manifold/plates/drive parts, headers, etc.....I did all the porting and relieving, head work and assembly, so it's not some "hi-buck, store bought" engine, but more of a return to "what I wish I could have done in High School:rolleyes:"

It was originally a "Stucky Chassis" from around 1960 that had been lengthened to 138 around 1962....had to straighten out the frame, widen it so I could fit and fit a new cage and other safety pieces(would have been easier to start over ....haha). Paul Wright did the aluminum body and Mercury Charlie painted the orange portion. It has literally been a labor of love....never could come up with an "excuse" to build/drive a FED, until all of this Nostalgia comeback... Thanks HAMB:D!!!

Been working on a "real engine" for several months....hoping to have it all sorted out by Day of the Drags(El Jefe, are you gonna have your's ready:D?).

Thanks again for the supportive comments, HAMBers

  23. For you that don't know yet.....Kathy is putting together a Flathead FED:D now that the 32 is up and going....she says stuff like "gonna kick my ass" .....hahaha....."and" I keep on trying to help her do it.....We Flathead Folks are a "sick bunch:rolleyes:"

  24. Andy,
Here's the "secret trick" for you.....shhhhh.....put a Flathead in it....hahaha
