I'm thinking the Howard is the car owner, and I'm betting that's not him.

I found this shot on e-bay, and it is mentioned the photographers assignment was designers and their cars.
So that would be Robert Bourke, his name is mentioned on the back of the photo.

Tucker in the back ground, bet Alex Tremulus was there also...........

    Rural Alva, Oklahoma in 1906.

No information on this one except the date on the photo and it is from the http://www.ohlhausen.ca family website.

Same website, Oklahoma 1904. Note the small sod house which was probably their original home. That new house was quite a luxurious place at the time. In back of the house is a storm cellar. If this is in the Alva area like the other one, there were tornadoes in the general area just a few days ago. Wonder if the storm cellar is still there?

...or more likely, Louisville. Bardstown Road (on which I spent many an entertaining evening in the army) is a classic major road in "Old Louisville". Lots of classic early 20th century architecture. Reminded me (in the early '70's) of sort of a southern interpretation of San Francisco (without the hills).

You are correct on his name. It appears he has one heck of a car collection that includes a 1949 Cadillac, a 1907 Stoddard-Dayton Model K Runabout, a 1954 Ford of France Monte Carlo, two Marmon race cars and a 1903 Michigan.

He was a designer at Ford and retired in 1997. While still in college, he designed vehicles for several 1960s TV shows including The Monkeymobile and the Green Hornet car. He did a lot of work on Mustangs and is quoted in several articles about the Mustang II.

This will pass the new NHRA roll cage requirements for 16.99 and slower for 2012.

This looks to be Cobo Hall in Detroit. Probably an Autorama. Is the photo dated?

If it's Cobo, and there was a Tucker there, then Tremulis would be there...

Yep, I was 7 and remember going outside in our backyard to see the light from Sputnik going across our night sky.
