ilove tri five gasser but alot of them are slow and unsafe so i built my with some gasser tradition and it should be fast and safe i hope you enjoy the build all of the fab work was done by jr fab
Well, I'd argue that "a lot of them are slow and unsafe," I've seen some mighty tasty "gasser" style '57's that were neither slow or unsafe and I even owned one back in 1967 among the thirty or so '57's I owned all at one time...but I have to say your fab work is lookin' good. AND on a 150 at that...very nice. Oh BTW, the duct tape holding on the driver's side fender has failed...!!! R-
Waa-aaaaay back in 1967, when I was racing (and perhaps you weren't even thought of yet)...2900 pounds and 13's...but that was then and it's not important today... R-
Way cool car, really like the shot of the rear. I'm curious about the swiss cheesed frame, it seems like a lot of material taken out, no? Any concern of flex?
Unlike a lot of the "gassers" being built today, this one looks like it's being built to serve a purpose other than just trendy aesthetics. Some inventive shit going on there. Good job.
It looks like a 8 point well built cage in it, I doubt it will flex (at least not enough to worry about) just my 2 cents Looks too me like he ain't messing around, He plans to go fast!!....LOL
everything before the coil overs is what you should be concerned about there should not be any twist ow maybe a little
seen a hundred of them at the bracket races---be interesting to see if you pass the " photo test" for MOKAN---i build tube frame c3 vette bracket cars but i like them really low with mondo rear tire and a 4 link---that photo with the coilover and all those tubes coming together shows some nice fabrication ---i also like mine with removable doors and stock wheel openings---i guess you could sum up my opinion as gimme more " SHAKEY PUDDIN " with my gassers
Love it! 150s are clean, and its funny when people insist your car is a '55 because of the trim... Iron headded big block? Details? That build looks 100% Professional, some folks may get a little uptight about the modern stuff on it but I for one am glad to see all the close ups and have harvested a few ideas for mine.
thats some great fab work.and you got some really good ideas going on there too.now if you get a minute we got a 55 sittin here waitin its turn...lol
