Not sure if I mentioned or not but I've decided to run the car in grey primer this year and paint it blue flake next year, reasons are I'm not a big fan of polishing cars, time is running short and I kinda like the grey primer look anyway.
The frame and underbody will be gloss black and finished to a decent standard.
I primed up the hood last night and fitted it up with various bits and pieces, I think the grey primer gives it a real tough look. It also makes the shiny bits stand out.

Steve, you could paint your Willys with mud and it would still be very cool. I always liked the one in the movie Hot Rod, and yours reminds me of that one.

That is such a nice touch, it will offset nicely against the Blue Paint.... Really is coming along nicely.

You missed a bit Oz, now gonna run it in grey primer for the first year, blue flake the year after.

The stainless finisher really enhances and defines the scoop. As good as it looks on the primer, it's going to pop on the blue flake. Very nice work.
Did you get the rigidity you were looking for? I'm contemplating something similar for some long fender cutouts.

Yes Terry its now very rigid, funnily enough i just made some spears for the fenderskirts on a customers Kustom sled, unfortunately it was a rush job and i forgot to take any pics :(
They were stainless scallops, they did look good even if i say so myself.
