  2. Nix on the side pipes, I like the cut-out look myself which is a lot more traditional. I do know a lady with a pretty good scar from side pipes on an OT Mustang back in the day.

I like a good set of pipes, they have to be made to fit the car. Be a part of the car, not just a storebought set that are added on.
Heres a set of sidepipes i made for a model 'a' flattie. They are clean, simple, tucked up under the door. They are made to be part of the car, compliment the body lines. Easier to do with a sedan than a coupe.

These are side pipes! I put them on my 63 also. I know it's semantics but there is a hell of a lot of difference between Corvette or Cobra side pipes and lakes pipes and never the twain shall meet.

Meaning El Cabalo Loco's car looks a bit...under-engineered, at least in the photo he gave. "Scary" as in "I wouldn't drive my wife or kids in that car."

    Hey, Killer32;

Instead of the "loud" chrome side pipes, do the Black Chrome version. Gets you the best of both worlds. Kinda gotta look hard to see 'em, but looks real good, & once you know they're there, it's hard not to see them. Do believe some of the 427 Cobras came w/them. Always loved the subtle look of the black chrome. Think it'd look killer on the deuce, esp full length. Although, I do believe I'd use black chrome leg guards, as I'm not into pain - as pain hurts...

  7. Not referring to your car (which I like, but then again it looks like my coupe) but the car in the second post.

Personally I love the look you have now ! All I see is that huffer on to but that's me . Can have anymore in your face than that ! Side pipes would give some shine to the side but they do hurt like hell when the leg hits the pipe ! Then what's even worst is when your pants get stuck to you burned leg and you have to pull the material from the burned shin !
If you do go with side pipes , make sure they are full length !
Still is a killer 32 just the way it is !

I didn't know what to think when I saw that car that was posted, Let's see a full shot of it? Also those headers you want are street rod, like people have said before lakestyle or under the frame.

But very easily fixed. I'll take it; give me a week in my garage and you won't recognize it!

HAHA, it looks like he's doing some Fonzie type thumbs up or something. Maybe he's flashing some ancient gang sign.........did he break out into some gay dancing after that picture was taken?

Dammit! I just spewed Dr. Pepper all over my keyboard and screen.

  18. I had a friend that didn't pass short arms inspection once, he said he musta got some bad ass somewhere. ;)

I discovered that if you wear your big boy pantz you don't get burned as easy.

Now onto bigger and better things, some times side pipes look like butt but executed well they can be pretty sharp. I hope to see several examples myself.

    Muttley,
Please tell me that isn't you in a pair of cowboy boots. looks like someone said get down and he thought they ment bust a move. :D:D

my vote is for no side pipes but if you have your mind made up would love to see a before and after

  25. When sidepipes stick out every which-way and clash with a car's existing lines, they look bad.

But there are a few that are tucked in close to the frame and actually look good- like these:

  26. 3 model As , different frame set up.
The red roadster definitely has a narrow frame at the cowl.
Can't really tell about the other two.
