Thanks wide34, RatRod54 and abone1930! abone1930 - I would have loved to get a shot of your whole car, but it was just impossible at the time.

Dan, I would have told people to get out of the way or pulled it into the street for you to get a good shot. Better luck next time.

Thanks 76Cam, DJLatin, jamcoupe and abone1930 - if I know people want their car photographed, I am happy to try and touch base during the show and get 'er done.

It is made from a wing tank from a Military Lockheed Constellation. It was built by Ed Pettus and his son Eddie of Eddies Rod & Custom in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. Great guys. Steering is in the back cockpit like an old Stearman bi-plane. My only minor complaint is it's powered by a Toyota motor but it's still pretty damned cool.

Great job on the photos, Dan! Your work is always super cool, well thought out and executed and just plain fun to look at!

Thanks Todd for the comments which mean even more coming from a world class automotive artist like you and also for the info on the car. I bet it's one of the rare rods that gets stunning gas mileage :)

You're welcome, Dan! I imagine it does pretty decent on the gas mileage. I know they talked about running twin turbos on it at one time.

Jesse James new ride... very nice. Nice work Dan, I can see how some people wouldn't like the artistic interpretation of your photo's, art is subjective. If they don't like it they shouldn't look... why come and screw with the rating of the thread? Pretty small minded.

I couldn't agree more or state it any better. Thanks LynchMOB! BTW - I can't get over how cool Jessie's new car is.

This Lincoln Zephyr and the very nice V12 Flathead is being built or something inside Austin Speed Shop. That is all I know about it.

Dan could dig a dirty old potato out of the ground, toss it on a pile of rocks, take a photo of it and make that thing look good. They say you can't polish a turd! Dan can. This guy is amazing .

Thanks Jason and Rick! Never heard it put quite that way Rick, but I like it. Sorry for the break in the action - I was at a junk yard shoot all day yesterday.

Also - I will be at the Stray Kat 500 this coming weekend.

Thanks so much 38Flattie. Which El Mirage event? I am trying to squeeze in Speed Week this year.

Sorry for the break in the action - a lot going on. Still a ton to come. I will get as many done as possible before going to the Stray Kat 500.
