The only thing I wanted to see there was the '49 Merc that slddnmatt built. Didn't get to see it finished. Can't see paying all that money for just one building that interests me,and anything parked outside,i'll see somewhere else.

 

It was only $20 well $30 because $10 to park your car... Is John Buck the promoter? What did he do to make you mad, you are at all the shows...

Hey, I have also two Mercury models... That small '49 Merc was for sale on one flea market and I bought it right away. That red '50 Merc was my birthday present from my big brother. It's radio control car and head/tail lights works!

 

I have that smaller one too. I repainted the flames,cause it looked terrible! I like that radio controlled one. Who makes it? That way I can look for one....

 

Yeah, those flames are crappy.

If I remember right it was TechToys but I don't have the box anymore. I found this link http://amazingtechdepot.com/c68992.html There was also green one. I got it about two years ago so I don't know are those still for sale.

Cool! I think I have about 10 of the first,unchopped one and 8 of the second,chopped one in the truck. I had to get most of mine off Ebay also.

 

1962 Monterey here in the UK. Bought from this site and shipped last year. Lots to do, Currently in the middle of rebuilding the front end.

Hey Bob, I'm not sure what to make of my new purchase. I just may be crazy enough to build it, after I finish my other 50 merc first, of course. It's complete down to the flathead and trans except for the rear window and part of the roof. Put me down for another 50 merc!!! This will be project "I lost my mind"

 

I'd say...weld up the rear doors,fabricate a bed, and make a Mercamino,hahaha!

I am in! I have had my Merc for about a year now. It is chopped 4 inches has a 351 and AOD.

 

Can you give me all the info on your tranny? Numbers,model# year,if you know it. I have a 351C waiting to go in and I need to know which AOD will bolt up. I'm assuming you have a 351c,not a 351w hahaha.....

 

I'm in. 49 Merc, flathead, 3spd, 6v, mostly stock except for lowering springs and blocks.

What frame/suspension you running? It alomost looks like your rear shackles are stuck pointing down making your rear end ride high.
