Howdy Kinda new here. I have posted on this site before but never formally introduced myself. I finally read the READ THIS FIRST and I aim to try to abide by the forum rules from here on out Originally from central Pennsylvania but moved to western Pennsylvania when I was about 12. Stayed there until I moved to Michigan about 11 ½ years ago. Been around mechanical things all my life and have made a pretty decent living from doing what I love to do. My main reason for coming to this board (besides the fact that it as cool as the flip side of the pillow) is because I am about to start what I consider the most important project of my life. I am in possession of fathers 1955 Chevy Straight axle gasser from the 60s. It isnt a car just like it it is the exact one. (see avatar pic) The car has been in the family since just about the day I was born and has never been very far from me my whole life. The longest I spent away from it was when I was going through my divorce from my first wife and even she never questioned where this car belonged. It currently is in many pieces and hasnt run under its own power since about 1982. I plan on documenting the resurrection of this car over the next few months right here on the HAMB. Some of the key parts are missing and I am hoping the HAMB can help me locate some of the stuff I need to make it come alive again. Along the way I will fill in the history as my dad and I know it and answer questions as we go along. For now, I will tease you with some vintage pics of me and the car and a link http://www.dragraceresults.com/article.cfm?id=618 that has a little more info about me and my dad. Stay tuned and I will start a build thread shortly on the main general discussion board. Thanks for sharing all the history and wisdom in this place. It is like a museum here

Ummmm... Thanks for the welcome again but this intro was from 2010... This project is complete and we are about to get it out and run it again this year.. My signature below has links to video and the actual build thread plus the next project we are working on..
Not exactly sure then how this wound up back at the top of the introduction page. Sorry about that. Still sounds like a fun project, even if your done!
