Here's what I came up with:
Black over copper.
Red pinstripe color break.
Changed the 3-window to 5-window.
Left the Buick straight-eight because
a) it looks great
b) no time for an engine swap!

Just curious, why do you want to swap the 263 for a SBC ?
This is un unusual engine . I have the same for my project
Any details about the whole car ? Transmission, engine mods, etc ?

This is not my car pictured, it is HookerHotRods which I am loosely basing my build off of. It is actually a 302 Jimmy and I agree it looks great. However, I am going to use mine as a daily driver and cannot justify the decreased gas mileage and HP of a six. I know you can hop them up and make great power. But like I stated daily driver. I should be able to get 20 mpg no problem with my SBC 283 and with the T5 and dialing in the gearing I am hopeful of 25 mpg

I can't speak for the others, but I find that photo difficult to work with. Do you have one where the color is less muddled and maybe without stuff laying around on the car?

HEY photoshop guys. I am thinking about painting just the top cab part with an off white flaked lace effect to math the interior vinyl and front bumper. I have no idea what this would look like so i thought maybe someone could help before spending money and not liking it. below are a couple pics one of the look I am going for.

Ill include some pics of the truck and the interior so you can see the off white any help would be great thank you!!!

Also, If you could drop the truck would be much appriciated!!!!

Want to get the full effect. Truck is in shop getting bagged now and i was thinking while its there adding the off white top paint.

I checked and found I had a 1960 Ford which already had the right color top. So I just adjusted the body color to match yours as close as I could.
Added wide whites, a skirt, and dropped it. Here you go. Hope this helps.

Corvairs are cheap and cheerful and make great customs.
Take one Corvan Rampside pickup, section out the dull stuff, leaving the side indents. Chop the top, add Radirs and whitewalls, and head for paradise!

The pics of the studes are not mine, but they are the same year and model as mine. I was hoping the green color on the stude ute with maybe white around the window area. Delete the grill bars but keep the chrome trim surrounds and just use the turn signals, add 55 Studebaker tail lights which look somewhat like lee style lights on a 55 chevy, delete the bird but keep the stude S and the V on the hood, keep the stainless trim, chrome bumbers like stock, want to change the headlights to resemble a 55 GM car so it would look more flowing with the fenders, lower it a little, maybe custom wheels or hubcaps. If anyone can help that would be awesome, if anyone wants to see what they can do with it; or maybe what they would do to it go right ahead. Thanks.

 

Faus:
The neat thing about Studebakers is that they used the same basic tub from 1953 through 1964. They were always short of cash so had to make do with add-on changes from year to year.

Actually, I think the Gran Turismos models were maybe the best makeovers ever. They took a 10-year-old design from the early fifties and made it look fresh again.

Anyway, what this means for Stude customizers is that you can mix-and-match to get what you want. Here I took some fins from a '57 Golden Hawk (which are bolt-ons) and put them on a '54 wagon. This disguises that awkward join behind the B-post. The straight-edge '56 fins might be a better fit style-wise, but I haven't found a useable photo yet.

I like the idea of the fins but it looks a bid more than I can chew... The tail lights look cool. Could I see the grill and how it would look with the green color.

 

I'll work on the front and color change next.

The reason I suggested the fins, is because they bolt on and are easily removed if you want to go back to stock.

I remember seeing a pair for $40 at the York, PA swap meet a few years ago. I didn't buy them because I didn't have a car for them at the time. I'm still kicking my self over that one. They looked so cool and fifties gaudy, I might have bought a car just to stick 'em on!

 

Did not know they bolted on, if I find a pair I may install them.

Faus, if a like situation ever repeats, just state money up front. Had $100 been mentioned, you probably wouldn't have had same response.

Fin idea is neat but wouldn't work without modification. Bolt on is simple enough, lengthening to B pillar will prove otherwise. Rot gets wordy in descriptions yet misses simple parts of equations unfortunately.

 

Here is the yellow wagon with the hood ornament shaved.
1 - teeth removed
2 - the whole bar removed

Kinda shitty pics but I have started working on my Volvo and would like to see it with black steelies and wwws, a tad lower in front, a roofchop and a creamwhite with some discrete scallops.
