I meant to take care of this yesterday at work but I got busy and never found the time. What I'm looking for is a flat pattern template for a 17.5 degree "bevel" cut on a 7/8" od tube. Basically like this:

If someone could put this together as a pdf I'd be eternally grateful.

    Thanks!!

Yeah, I can do it Monday once I get back to work but I was really hoping to get this done this weekend and not next weekend. Don't ya hate it when one little thing holds up the entire show? Thanks nonetheless.

FWIW I need the cut to be 17.5 degrees off the long side of the tube, not the short side.

Print this out so it's 2 3/4" long and you're good to go.

Use a bucket of water, one foot of tube, two foot of angle iron, c-clamp, protractor, and a can of spray paint.
I think you can see what I mean.
Works in the field without a computer.

    Won't work I'm on a Mac.

Oh man thank you so much but I'm looking for 17.5 degrees from the long side of the tube, not the short side. Maybe I described it wrong. Call it 162.5. :D

He's saying stick the tube into water at whatever angle you want the cut to be at... in this case 162.5 degrees. Then shoot some spray paint on the part of the tube that's not in the water. Obviously you can't spray paint what's under the water so what's left is a nice cut line.

I thought about doing it this way but setup time alone makes it a deal breaker for me.

you can of course make a 17.5 degree template to cut the tube, simply by
    dividing 71.5 by 22 gives you 3.25

take a bit of 2 inch wood, measure along 6 and 1/2 inches
cut the angle and clamp it to the tube,
run a straight edge over the angle and tube, then whizz it through with a cutting wheel
