Correct on the Caddys but they started earlier. Also the Tuckers.

56FLRN, nice pix! I did find an older thread that mentions Pontiac Safari's, 57 Olds, 54-56 Caddys and a Nash Ambassador. I guess there weren't that many, and mostly GM stuff. Hope not. The 56 Chevy is very purdy. Gary

I remember that many fillers were "hidden" behind the rear license plate.
But then you were looking for tail lights, weren't you?

  9. 56 Chevy ? If I remember right. Yeah 56, Driver side.

Continental Mark II has the filler behind one taillight.

This certainly never looked like a filler cap to me : [IMG]

Have to think more on Ford/ChryCo...

EDIT ~ FoMoCo (besides the Mk II) and MoPar don't seems to have dabbled in hidden fuel fillers. Some are well disguised (google rear of '64-68 Imperial), but not truly hidden ALA Cadillac.

  14. when i get a car in to the shop that has a has a hidden fuel filler, i challenge the kids in the neighborhood to find it. with an ice cream as a reward they are getting good at the car makers "tricks".

  15. That's great, anything to get kids around cars is a good thing for our hobby and the future of hot rodding. Kudos to you my friend! ;)

Looking to do this on a 1959 Ranchero. Anyone have any pictures of this on a 53-59 ford tailight?
