"SATISFFACTION" was a ruff ol rusted out race car that the years had been real hard on, it would cost twiced as much to repair her and you would not have near the car as you can get one for. But man that was a cool car. The frist time i seen her was in Cleveland tenn. at a show. I am glad to see her fixed any way you need to do it.

By those pics it looks like there wasn't much left of the original "SATISFACTION"! It probably would've ran pretty good times being that half the body was gone! That is until you fell through the floor....cant wait to see more of this build!

SAFE and FAST! That's sounds like the plan! But, I'd like to keep as much of the look if all possible.

Still hoping to see older pictures.

    I totally agree...............

If you rebuild the car we are still gonna remember it the way we all want to remember it. So i say you should definately stay on what you are doing. There is alot of people out there that would have never even tried to fix this piece of history. So you are a very good person so i say keep it as satisafaction and make us proud.

Shipper is picking up the chassis and all the other parts today, I can't wait!

Spent most of the weekend looking though Fotki.com at all 547 pages of pictures for pics of Satisfaction and found some more.

So if the original car was at the strip just a couple of years ago....why couldn't that body be saved? They make everything for a '55. i don't understand some people.

I mean kudos to your build. Someone just needs to kick the guy in the nuts a few times that decided to cut the car up.!

John, the butcherer shouldn't be allowed to own classics, why did he even buy it if he was just going to slaughter it?

    Hey, hey,

Johns a good guy! He drove 5 hours to find one of the rustiest cars he ever found, so he never would of drove a mile for it if he would of known, but he was a man of his word and made good on the deal. Please look at the pics, of the floors, I know you can buy everything for any '55! But really?

I would never of tried to save this one either. It did brake my heart too, in seeing it had just gone down the track in '08.

But, Scott has bigger balls then I do, cause I never would of drove her down the track at any speed in that condition! That thing was rough!

The safety thing you can not turn your back on. Remember that a straight axle in an old gasser is a hand full as it is. Not worth dying in.

Hope we all can move on and look forward from here. That's why this body was scrapped. RIP!

Shipper just called, it is loaded and on it's way! Mike

I thought you might have been busy, that's fine.

The chassis and parts just showed up this morning, so I'll post so pics soon.

I have my son graduating soon, so I'm not going to get started on it as soon as I would like.

So Scott and anybody else, that has glory day pics, we need to see them before I can start!

I know there's not much here, but it's all that is left to work with. I still have to check on one of the last engines ran.

So we'll see if we can make it safe and look like it was or we'll call it "Satisfaction II"

We can't go much further on this with out more pictures. Thanks Mike

Mounted up some rims and tires.

Put them on the frame and blew out the frame (was full of acorns & rust) lighter now!

Dug out the '55 150 business coupe, 2 door post body...

It was sitting on a cart with a Ford 9", 3.00:1, posi, disc brakes rear end with 14x15 alum. slots and cheater slicks. Just for looks.

Hauled it outside to give it a lift.

That 150 body looks to be pretty solid. And the wheelwells are all set. Do you plan on sandblasting the chassis ?

  29. It looks like a parts pile to paradise, good luck with the build.
