I just started to degrease the Franklin steering I plan to use in my Roadster. How did you determine were to mount the steering in the Coupe, drag link location, or crossshaft foot clearance?

Both. I put the steering box down as low as I could go while still keeping it high enough to work the pedals. I'm hoping that by getting it down to where the drag link's attachment point is as close to the radius rod's pivot point as possible, I'll be minimizing the potential for bump steer.

Yes, that's the plan...it will be there in the raw. First time out of the shop and in public since it was a rolling chassis.

I'll also have new T-shirts at the Lonestar Roundup that Keith Weesner designed for me. They feature the Wade Coupe, so I guess I should post a pic:

I'm really stoked that I was able to get Keith to do the artwork for this...it turned out fantastic!

Any chance on those not going to the round up to snag a T-shirt!??

Well, since you asked...Yes, you can now order the "Weesner/ Wade Coupe" T-shirt off of my website. Click the link below:

I just finished up the top insert flange yesterday, and the car is now ready for the insert to be Dzus fastened in place. Here are some pictures of the process of making the new flange:

Finally, here's a shot of the finished roof profile (minus the insert). I'm happy with how it came out.

Thanks again for all the good words, fellas.

Your metal finishing is superb! Are you using a shriking wheel or mainly hammer and dolly?
