yesterday arrived a little parts from Classicparts and today I started to install the gas tank

I have painted before installation



Work completed



If my wife leaves me free tomorrow I can still work on my truck

this is a truely amazing work here. building a 51 chevy myself right now....this thread makes me feel like crap. there is no way i could ever EVER build something at this standard.

here are some other minor updates.
I installed the windshield glass with stainless steel trim, back glass,
ss hood center molding, front chevy emblem and other headlight.

Begin to see something concrete

All I can say is "WOW"!!! Anytime you'd consider it, I'd fly you over here to do the bodywork/paint on my nephews 51 Chevrolet Business Coupe. Do you have any "neighbor" type problems; it looks like you're surrounded by apts/condos. Keep on posting. Butch/56sedandelivery.

Hello friends, today I need your help.

I installed the windshield with stainless steel trim, but something did not convince me.

I removed the windshield and still not get it to go well.

I'm installing the windshield but I have problems to enter the stainless steel trim
Please can someone help me understand how to properly install this molding?

I ran all the information you find on the web but the gasket does not fit well.
Here in my city there is no one able to do this job.

Please, please, please, help me !!!

Orula can you post a pic of the stainless trim backside. i have a 50 with the trim in it and can pull it out if you need me to.

This is probably the cleanest build I've ever seen. I thought it was nice to start with but it is going to be sweet.

Hello to all,

waiting to see how to install the windshield, now I have dedicated
the realization of a gas tank cover. I used wood from 5/16 thickness.

The work is not finished yet but I like

 

Why not bring the wood over all the way up. That way you can hide it and that sound deadener.

 

That stainless windshield trim can be a pain , you have to trim the reproductions to get it to fit . You are installing it in the rubber before mounting the glass right ? They look nice with stainless around all the glass though . Nice truck !
